Mike Panza

Dr. Michael PanzaDr. Michael Panza (M.M. Music Education, 1983; B.S. Music Education, 1979) has recently had three arrangements for brass quintet published by Cimarron Music Press (cimarronmusic.com)—Still, Still, Still; O Waly Waly; and O Sole Mio. Panza has more arrangements in the works, which will be published at a later date.

Panza recently retired after spending more than 36 years in the field of education. During this time, he served as a Music Educator, Principal, and a Superintendent. Dr. Panza holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Music Education from Duquesne University, a Masters in School Administration, also from Duquesne University, his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova University, and post Doctorate credits from Westminster College. He has also been an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University and Duquesne University. He was appointed to the Moniteau School District Board of Directors in 2007 and has since been re-elected on three occasions. He has held various leadership roles and has been a presenter at state and local conferences and several post-secondary schools. In addition, Michael plays tuba with the faculty brass quintet in the Mary Pappart School of Music. The quintet performs throughout the Pittsburgh region for various schools and civic organization. Michael joined the Duquesne University Alumni Board of Governors in 2018.
