M.B.A./M.A. in Communication or M.A. in Corporate Communication
Joint degrees are offered between the Flex M.B.A./M.A. in Communication, and the Flex M.B.A./M.A. in Corporate Communication. The Flex M.B.A./M.A. in Communication requires a total of 51 credits, and the Flex M.B.A./M.A. in Corporate Communication requires a total of 54 credits.
Students must apply and be accepted to both programs of study. Students may begin their study in either the School of Business or in the Graduate School of Liberal Arts. Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive two degrees and two diplomas. The degrees must be conferred simultaneously.
Graduation Requirements for the M.B.A./M.A. in Communication or M.A. in Corporate Communication
Flex M.B.A. and M.A. in Communication
Students will complete all required coursework for the Flex M.B.A. and M.A. in Communication programs (see those program sections of the Catalog) with the following exceptions:
- Students may use up to 6 credits of M.B.A. coursework to fulfill M.A. in Communication electives.
- Students may use COMM 500 Professional Communication, COMM 501 Persuasion in the Marketplace, and COMM 515 Organizational Communication to fulfill up to 9 credits of certificate coursework in the M.B.A. program. Note that students would consequently not receive a Graduate Certificate along with their M.B.A.
- Note: students must graduate with a total of at least 51 credits.
Flex M.B.A. and M.A. in Corporate Communication
Students will complete all required coursework for the Flex M.B.A. and M.A. in Corporate Communication programs (see those program sections of the Catalog) with the following exceptions:
- Students may use COMM 500 Professional Communication, COMM 501 Persuasion in the Marketplace, and COMM 515 Organizational Communication to fulfill up to 9 credits of certificate coursework in the M.B.A. program.
