The Duquesne University Center for African Studies will host Krobo Edusei, Jr., one
of Ghana's most recognized and successful business leaders, for his EnviroBytes lecture, that will focus on the global issue of electronic waste/e-waste.
The Korle Lagoon in Ghana is one of the most polluted bodies of water on earth, where
hundreds of millions of tons of the West's e-waste piles up every year. Edusei has
been tasked by the Republic of Ghana government to eliminate this toxic environment
and to develop a model that can be used globally.
Edusei will lead a discussion with Duquesne graduate students and faculty in environmental disciplines to share ideas on how to best combat the issue of e-waste. A luncheon with Edusei will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, from noon to 2 p.m.
When: Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 5:50 p.m.
Where: Room 325, Fisher Hall, Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh.
