Political Theory for the Real World
Dr. Michael Goodhart from the University of Pittsburgh's Political Science Department will speak about his new book, which challenges a conventional approach to injustice by viewing it as a political rather than philosophical problem. Presented by the Center for Interpretive and Qualitative Research.

An Afternoon with Supreme Court of the U.S. Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor
During this special event, Justice Sonia Sotomayor will participate in a conversation with Duquesne University President Ken Gormley and U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Marjorie Rendell. Justice Sotomayor also will receive the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann Award for Distinguished Public Service, presented in partnership with the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. This event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is encouraged as a large crowd is expected and seating is limited.
