Overview

Computing and Technology Services (CTS) develops and tests the core software image installed on every public and department-operated computer lab. The core lab software suite includes:

  • Adobe Reader DC
  • EndNote
  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Office
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • SPSS Statistics.

Request lab software

Please use the form below to request software installations in CTS-managed computer labs for the spring 2021 semester. Complete each field in the form to expedite your request.

If you want to maintain a current software installation in a CTS-managed computer lab, you must complete this form. Do not assume that software currently installed will be reinstalled without a request from you.


Software install schedule

CTS will complete software installations based on a first received, first completed basis. The table below outlines the time between requests, testing and installation.

Each instructor is responsible for testing the reliability and compatibility of their own software on the computers in a lab. You will receive a call from CTS to schedule a test of your software in the facility you have indicated. If you do not receive a call within five weeks prior to the start of the semester, please contact the CTS Help Desk at 412.396.4357 (HELP) or help@duq.edu.
