June 15 Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) Goes End of Life

Microsoft has announced, Internet Explorer (IE) 11 desktop application will end support on June 15, 2022. Users are encouraged to use the Microsoft Edge browser.

Recommended actions

At this time, CTS recommends moving to the Microsoft Edge browser. Microsoft Edge offers an (IE) mode with backwards compatibility. If Microsoft Edge is not already installed on your system you can install the latest version through Software Center on your university managed device.

Import IE Favorites in Microsoft Edge:

To provide the best experience, we recommend that users import their data from IE to Microsoft Edge before your organization's internal IT retirement date. To easily import their data, users can copy and paste edge://settings/importdata into the Microsoft Edge address bar, then choose "Microsoft Internet Explorer" from the selections under "Import from."

You currently do not need to take any action to remove Internet Explorer (IE 11) from your computer. We encourage you to use Microsoft Edge.
