Wherever you're taking classes this semester, you'll use several technology services and resources to help you in your studies. Take some time to complete our recommended tech to-dos and make sure you're ready for the first day of classes on Jan. 21.

Reset your MultiPass password if you forgot it or it expired

It's easy to forget your password or let it expire during an extended time away from school. If you're having trouble signing into a Duquesne online service, click the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page or go to duq.edu/multipass to reset your password.

Sign into DuqNet with your current MultiPass password

If you updated your password during or after the holiday break, any devices you own that connect to DuqNet will need your new password. Some devices automatically prompt for your new password while others make you forget the DuqNet network first and then reconnect. After reconnecting, you will be prompted to sign in with your new MultiPass password.

Download Microsoft Office onto your new devices

Did you know that you can download Microsoft Office on up to five personal computing devices for free? If not, now's the perfect time to download this important software on your laptop, desktop or mobile device.

You can also access online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote from your University email address. Sign into your email at duq.edu/mail and then click the app icon in the top left corner of your screen to start creating your documents.

Check your courses in Blackboard

Blackboard is where you'll find important information for courses you registered for, including the course syllabus and class assignments. If you sign into Blackboard and do not see one of your courses listed, have no fear. Some professors make their Blackboard course available to students after the first class session.

Take Zoom for a test drive on your devices

Whether you're learning in-person or remotely, you'll use Zoom at some point during the semester to meet with classmates or professors. We recommend downloading the Zoom app onto your laptop or mobile device.

After downloading Zoom, remember to select "Sign in with SSO" and then use "duq.zoom.us" as your company domain. This will direct you to Duquesne's official Zoom login page, where you can sign in with your MultiPass username and password.
