GlobalProtect VPN

Virtual Private Networking

A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network, such as Duquesne's on-campus network, across a public network, such as the Internet. Duquesne's VPN enables users to send and receive data across public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to network on campus. Applications running while connected to the VPN service therefore benefit from the functionality, security, and management of Duquesne's internal network.

For more information regarding VPN and its acceptable use, click here.

Note: VPN is for use off-campus only. You will not be able to establish a VPN connection while connected to Duquesne University's network.

GlobalProtect

Palo Alto Networks' GlobalProtect software boasts next-generation security tools to ensure any network traffic between your computer and campus network resources remains encrypted. GlobalProtect is available for download on Duquesne-owned Windows and macOS computers.

Note: This download must be completed while you are located on campus. In addition, you will be required to enroll a mobile phone in Duo in order to complete a 2FA login when signing in to GlobalProtect. Visit duq.edu/duo for assistance with enrolling a device in Duo Security tools.
