All vehicles must display a valid Duquesne University permit/hangtag while parked on campus. Failure to display your hangtag could result in a citation.
Enforcement hours for a valid Duquesne University permit are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Legal Surface Parking does not require a permit on Sundays. However, reserved spaces are enforced 24/7 and the University reserves the right to restrict parking during special events and/or other University activities.
Commuter Permit Holders
Commuter parking permits are only valid to park on campus between the hours of 5:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. No commuter permit holder is permitted to park any vehicle on Duquesne University property between the hours of 2:00 a.m. through 5:00 a.m. Anyone in violation will be subject to fines and/or penalties.
Please abide by all posted parking regulations. Parking is enforced in order to provide adequate parking for our students and employees. Parking permits are required during enforcement hours. Students and employees who do not purchase parking permits should still register their vehicles. Parking fines range between $10 and $100.
All Duquesne University parking fees and rates, as well as the policies that govern the parking program, are subject to change at the University's discretion. The University has no control over fines for State citations or the charge for towing.
Tailgating on campus is prohibited. This includes but not limited to open containers (alcohol), charcoal and electric grills are all prohibited on all University property and garages. University property and garages are patrolled by University Police; anyone in violation can be subject to fines and/or penalties.
