The process of valet parking vehicles once the parking garages are full is suspended until further notice.
Valet Parking/vehicle stacking is a process that has been part of the parking services opertation since the mid 1990's. The system is in place due to a high demand between employee and student permit needs. Every student and employee who desires a parking permit on campus is eligible to receive one.
How do I know that valet parking is taking place?
If you enter through the Locust Garage, an attendant will greet and inform you. If you enter through Forbes and that garage is full, cross over on level 7 and follow the parking signs up to the roof of the Locust Garage. Because of random turnover, class changes, etc. spaces can open up at any time. If you do not find a space at this point, follow the exit signs and you will be greeted by a parking attendant on the floor that they are currently valet parking on. Valet parking takes place predominately on the down side of level 9 and 6 in the Locust Garage.
Where will my keys be when I am ready to retrieve my vehicle?
Your keys will be on the floor that you valet parked on between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. After the aforementioned hours, your keys will be located in the Locust entrance until 6:30 p.m. If you cannot pick your keys up between those hours, your keys will be taken down to the Forbes exit office.
Will my car be on the same level that I valet parked it?
Yes, your car will be within the location that you orignally parked it. Vehicles never leave the row that you parked in. You must remember where you valet parked.
What time does valet parking begin?
The option to valet park will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday unless otherwise announced by the attendant at the Locust entrance and/or on our parking announcement box on our website.
