THOMAS MERTON: DIALOGUES WITH SILENCE

Zvonimir Nagy, associate professor of music, presented an original musical composition based on prayers and drawings from Dialogues with Silence, a book by Thomas Merton, a 20th century Catholic priest and Trappist monk. The new composition is scored for baritone voice, flute, percussion, and multimedia.

In anticipation of the canonization of Blessed Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, The Center for Catholic Faith and Culture screened this biopic of the courageous life and brutal assassination of this champion of social justice.
