Nikki currently serves as the Center for Teaching Excellence's Program Assistant by providing support for CTE's daily operations and longer projects. This often includes managing CTE's print library, helping to prepare for CTE events, and assisting in research projects.
Education and Experience
Nikki received her BA's from the Pennsylvania State University in Psychology and Spanish, as well as a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Currently, Nikki is pursuing a M. S. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in the School of Education at Duquesne University. Her main areas of interest include child and adolescent psychology, trauma-informed practices, psychopathology, and the promotion of overall well-being within individuals, families, and communities. Nikki also has experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and is currently gaining experience in in-home therapy.
