Addressing Disruptive Behaviour

Student behaviors can be difficult terrain for even the most experienced faculty to navigate. This interactive workshop will focus on distracting and disruptive student behaviors in order to explore the best methods for prevention and resolution.
Workshop facilitators, Anne Mullarkey Sawa, Director of Student Conduct, and Erin Rentschler, Program Manager, Center for Teaching Excellence, will share their own experiences and work with participants to explore:
- suggested responses to the classroom scenarios provided
- best practices for dealing with disruptive behavior
- campus resources available to faculty
