Horizon-Expanding Opportunities
Students in our Sociology program have a number of ways to get involved with the Duquesne community through student clubs & organizations and fieldwork for academic credit. These opportunities give our students the opportunities to connect with students that have similar interests and put what is learned in the classroom to practice. We also offer a number of scholarships and awards to extraordinary students in our programs.
This national organization offers numerous articles, employment links, grant information,
and newsletters for sociology professionals and students. The American Sociological Association (ASA) reports that a B.A. in Sociology: Sociology majors who meet the following requirements may be invited to join the Delta
Chapter (Pennsylvania) of Alpha Kappa Delta, International Honorary Sociology Society. Each year the files of sociology majors are reviewed and invitations sent to eligible
