2023 Phi Sigma Lambda Summer Workshop
High school students are invited to apply for the 2023 Phi Sigma Lambda Summer Workshop!
The Forensic Science and Law program is hosting a summer workshop at Duquesne University from June 19-23, 2023, 8:30-4:00pm daily. Learn about forensic science concepts, starting with crime scene investigation and various forensic testing methods, culminating in a mock trial. Workshop topics will include:
- Mock Crime Scene and Trial
- Arson Investigation
- Firearms and Toolmarks
- DNA Fingerprinting
- Hair & Fiber Analysis
Students who are selected to participate in the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be notified prior to April 15, 2023. A detailed schedule and additional information about the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be mailed with the acceptance letter. Scholarships are available to students with financial needs.
- Cost: $350 participation fee (includes meals, t-shirt, and Pittsburgh activities).
- Housing (optional): TBD
- Single: $40 per night
- Double: $35 per night
- Linens (optional): $8
Requirements
- Fall 2023 high school juniors or seniors
- Strong interest in the sciences
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
