This past weekend, Dr. Yvonne Weideman was inducted into the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing (GAHN). This induction took place virtually. She is now the second GAHN Scholar of Duquesne University's School of Nursing.
The Global Academy of Holistic Nursing aims to contribute and serve the global community. They do so by expanding the role of transcultural integrative caring-healing processes within healthcare. Additionally, they provide leadership in promoting and sustaining global health care transformation.
Selection to GAHN is based on the demonstration of social justice, trustworthiness, caring-healing and associated scholarship related to these values. Notification of Dr. Weideman's selection occurred in April.
