Last month, Dr. Cynthia Walters was inducted as a Board Member At-Large for the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing (GAHN). This induction took place virtually. Dr. Walters was inducted as a GAHN Scholar in 2021, making her the first GAHN Scholar of Duquesne University.
The GAHN aims to contribute and serve the global community. They do so by expanding the role of transcultural integrative caring-healing processes within healthcare. Additionally, GAHN provides leadership in promoting and sustaining global health care transformation.
The Board of Directors of the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing was created to lead members to contribute to the transformation of healthcare, the promotion of health equity and the reduction of health care disparities. This is accomplished through the application of holistic caring-healing practices focused on health, wellness, and well-becoming.
