Our Signature Events are ongoing and open to Duquesne students, faculty, staff and community partners. See our calendar for upcoming event dates, times and locations.
Monthly Journal Club
The CETR journal club intends to be a space where faculty and community partners can come together and learn about community-engaged scholarship. Each meeting will begin with a brief 10 minute presentation of a paper, followed by group discussion. The presentation and discussion will pay particular attention to the components of the work that are about community engagement. Refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions or if you like to RSVP, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at x5893
Community-Engaged Research Methods Forum
This new forum is designed as a shared space where community-engaged faculty, community partners, and students can engage in conversations which leads to a better understanding about methods, processes, and content related to community-engaged research.
Campus to Community Excursion
This year's excursion is a virtual tour. It is an experience that is not to be missed!
The tour will celebrate the people and the places that make this neighborhood one of the coolest places in Pittsburgh. You will learn why the people who live, work, and worship there LOVE the Hill. We will hear stories about the neighborhood's past, present, and exciting plans for the future. Terri Baltimore will be our guide.
Don't make this your last "visit" to the Hill District. Go there and support local businesses. When life returns to normal, please take the opportunity to meet residents, enjoy cultural activities, and explore beautiful green spaces.
Also, Duquesne's Vice President for Community Engagement, William Generett, Jr., J.D. has graciously agreed to commence our tour with a warm welcome!
