Adrianne Davis Kelly earned the Bachelor in Music Education degree from Jackson State University, with graduate studies at Duquesne University.
Kelly has more than 35 years of teaching experience, having taught for 33 of those years in the Pittsburgh Public Schools before retiring. While in the Pittsburgh Public Schools district, she primarily taught General Music K-5, Chorus, and Instrumental Music at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School. The Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary Chorus performed very actively throughout the Pittsburgh area and had the distinct opportunity to perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on stage at Heinz Hall in 2014.
Kelly was also co-director of the Pittsburgh Public Schools All-City Elementary Honors Chorus and the PPS All-City Middle School Honors Chorus.
Kelly is presently the National Chair of the Urban Music Leadership Conference. UMLC is a national organization that meets annually to focus on the needs of urban school district music programs. Past conferences have been hosted by the public school districts in Boston, Chicago, and New Haven, CT, to name a few.
Kelly is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and National Association for Music Educators. She has certification in Orff-Schulwerk, Levels I & II.
