Bio

Christine D'Antonio received her BSN from Gannon University in 2009. She found her passion in nursing early in her career when she worked at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in the Orthopedic Surgery, Neuro Surgery and Trauma unit.

Ms. D'Antonio received her Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Chatham University in 2011. Since earning her MSN, she has provided students with clinical based learning and simulation in the areas of Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Medical Surgical Nursing and Gerontology. She believes in a student focused learning environment with an inclusive formative and summative evaluation process. While at the Washington Health System School of Nursing, she developed an electronic clinical evaluation tool for the students direct patient care experience.

In 2018, Christine joined Duquesne University as an Adjunct Instructor teaching in the clinical setting, as well as in the classroom. During this time, she also served as the Nursing Professional Development Mentor at the Washington Health System, creating and managing the "Beyond the Nurse Residency Program"; an endeavor to facilitate mentorship and retention of new nurses during their second and third year of employment.

Christine is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Epsilon Phi Chapter as well as the Association for Nursing Professional Development.
