Dr. David Wargo is an Adjunct Professor at the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. He is also currently Head of Global Oral Solid Dose Technical Services at Viatris, a global pharmaceutical company which produces numerous complex generics, biosimilars and key branded products.

Dr. Wargo has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, holding various scientific and executive leadership roles in Research & Development and Technical Operations. His work has focused primarily on the formulation, scale-up and commercial launch of immediate and modified-release dosage forms for US and global markets for which he holds multiple US and international dosage form design and stability patents. He has also served as a key industry representative and invited speaker at FDA/AAM workshops focused on the development of Quality by Design guidelines for generic drugs.

Dr. Wargo has been actively involved with Duquesne and the School of Pharmacy since graduation. He has been a recipient of the Pharmacy Alumni Achievement Award, a keynote speaker at the School's White Coat Ceremony and is currently a member of the University Alumni Board of Governors and Chairman of its Scholarship Committee. Within the School of Pharmacy, he has focused on highlighting industrial pharmacy opportunities for undergraduate students, and has provided numerous lectures on Pharmaceutics, Drug Development, and Regulatory Affairs.
