Biography

Dr. Huddleston's research straddles both historical and systematic theology. A specialist in British Catholic history, her research focuses on the thought of John Henry Newman and its reception history. Aside from the British Catholic tradition, Dr. Huddleston's interests are wide-ranging, including theological and philosophical understandings of aesthetics, the relationship between music and theology, the intersection of Christian doctrine with Christian mysticism, theological anthropology, and various philosophies of history. Her forthcoming book, Where the Light Leads: The Many Lives of John Henry Newman, will be published with Fortress Press.

Since 2017, Dr. Huddleston has been employed by the National Institute for Newman Studies in various positions. Currently, she is an Associate Editor of the Newman Studies Journal and is the Head of Research and Publications at NINS.
