Jesse Tumblin is a historian of modern Britain, its empire, and the intersection of political theory and race in the early twentieth century. He is a past Fellow of International Security Studies at Yale University and the Clough Center for Constitutional Democracy at Boston College. His book, The Quest for Security: Sovereignty, Race, and the Defense of the British Empire, was published in 2020 by Cambridge University Press.
