Kelley Krepin DeFade, one of the area's most versatile performers, has been singing, dancing, and acting on stages throughout Pittsburgh and the United States since she moved back to the city in 1998. Ms. DeFade received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University and continued her vocal studies at the Opera Theatre of Lucca in Lucca, Italy. Kelley is a member of SAG-AFTRA and can be seen and heard as a featured soloist and background singer for PBS My Music series. She has also been seen performing with local symphonies and companies including: Washington Symphony, McKeesport Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, LABCO Dance, Attack Theatre, and Gia T. Presents to name a few. Currently, Kelley is the featured vocalist with Balcony Big Band. She has been teaching private voice for over 20 years, all genres, and teaches at Carnegie Mellon University for their pre-college summer program and during the school year, teaches voice and jazz voice at Duquesne University. Kelley lives on the Northside of Pittsburgh with her husband, Eric, daughter Kiela, and their 2 dogs.
