Dr. Klucevsek's past research specialized in molecular biology and genetics using a range of model systems. She has taught courses in Biology, Genetics, and research techniques and has created video and written content for online independent learning. She also has a fondness for fun curriculum design that implements study skills and learning strategies into an active-learning classroom. In the English department, Dr. Klucevsek combines her teaching and science communication interests through the science writing course. Currently, her research investigates science literacy, science communication, information literacy, and peer review skills in science students.
