Since receiving an M.A. in English (1999), an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (2000), and a certificate to teach composition at San Francisco State University, Professor Brodsky has been teaching a range of first-year writing and creative-writing courses. Her creative work has appeared in numerous literary journals, including her short story "Grow On" (Your Impossible Voice, 2016), and she has published two books of poetry-Getting Word (Fourteen Hills Press) and Gestic (a+bend press). In the 2019/20 academic year, she will be teaching UCOR 101 and 102, in addition to Poetry Workshops.
