After graduating from Duquesne as an undergraduate with a BA degree in mathematics, I started working at the Elliott Company in Jeannette, Pa., a capital goods manufacturer of turbines and compressors. I later earned an MBA from Duquesne in 1983 and ended up working at the Elliott Company for 42 years.
I held numerous management positions in my career in operations including production control, inventory control, purchasing, field service, business analyst, process innovation manager, and cost reduction leader. Some of my major accomplishments include serving or project managing on software implementation teams for five major system implementations from 1994 to 2018: Computer Associations CAS (ERP), Oracle Application Systems (ERP), Epicor Vantage (ERP), Kronos (time reporting), and Windchill (engineering product life cycle management system). During part of this time, I enjoyed spending over four months working in England in 2015 on a system implementation for our European business division.
In nearly 20 years working with ERP software, I supported, documented and taught in areas of MRP, work in process, inventory, bills of materials, routings, time reporting, and purchasing.
I live in North Huntingdon with my wife Mary, who is also a Duquesne graduate from the school of education. We raised three daughters.
