GMAT/GRE Waiver

We offer GMAT and GRE waivers for qualified candidates.

Meeting one or more of these criteria allows applicants to request a waiver but does not guarantee that the waiver will be granted.

1. Academic Waiver

Applicants for the Professional MBA, MBA Sustainable Business Practices, MS in Accountancy, MS in Supply Chain Management, Master's Certificate in Supply Chain Management, MS in Analytics and Information Management, and Master's Certificate in Analytics and Information Management who graduated from an AACSB-accredited business school within the past 10 years and earned a 3.25 or greater cumulative GPA may qualify. Applicants for the MS in Accountancy must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA in accounting coursework in order to qualify for the waiver. Exceptions to this may be made on a case-by-case basis for those graduating with an undergraduate degree from a non-AACSB accredited program.

Applicants for the MS in Management who graduated within the past 10 years and earned a 3.25 or greater cumulative GPA in any field or discipline may qualify.

2. Professional Experience Waiver

We generally require applicants to have three or more years of continuous, full-time professional work experience to qualify. Factors considered in the waiver decision include the type and substance of work experience and the academic record as indicated on official transcripts.

The Master of Science in Accountancy (MAcc) does not accept the professional experience waiver.

3. Master's/Terminal Degree Waiver

If you have previously earned a master's degree or terminal degree, you may qualify. Factors considered in the waiver decision include the program of study and your academic record as indicated on official transcripts.

4. Executive Education Waiver

If you have previously completed Executive Education at Duquesne University, you may qualify. Other factors included in the waiver decision include your academic record as indicated on official transcripts.

To be considered for certain merit-based aid, a competitive GMAT or GRE score is required.
