Duquesne University Graduate Chapter
Palumbo-Donahue School of Business

Net Impact is a community of students and professionals that are creating a positive social and environmental change in the workplace and world. The mission of our chapter is to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world. To fulfill this mission, we are committed to providing members with an array of opportunities that will:

  1. Empower them to use skills to positively their surroundings
  2. Help put beliefs into action through sustainability efforts
  3. Enlarge professional network with other like-minded individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to corporate social responsibility

Net Impact's Gold Chapter at Duquesne University hosts and participates in various events both locally and off campus. Some of these events include:

  • Conferences: attended and shared experience from annual Net Impact Conference in Seattle, WA
  • Awareness-raising: Up to Us Campaign - raised awareness about our national debt and how students can have a voice in the matter
  • Speakers/Panels: Various speakers involved in sustainability in the corporate and non-profit sector in Pittsburgh and Alumni panels
  • Challenges: Rockwell Green Week in April 2016 promotes creating less waste, recycling, using less energy, and decreasing emissions among students to show them the impact that they have on the environment
  • Community Outreach: Partnering with local non-profits in the spirit of cooperation and service to underserved communities
