Ed.D. Educational Leadership Doctoral Candidate Jamillia Kamara Receives Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40 Award!
Congratulations to Ed.D. in Educational Leadership doctoral candidate Ms. Jamillia Kamara - recipient of Pittsburgh Magazine's and PUMP's 40 Under 40 Awards!
Ms. Kamara is amongst a select group of Pittsburgh young professionals nominated for this award chosen by a judging panel who have awarded over 800 young professionals over the last 20 years who have made Pittsburgh thrive because of their dedication to their community and brilliance in education, entrepreneurship, art, medicine, the non-profit sector, business, and more. Pittsburgh Magazine's November edition with feature Ms. Kamara and her colleagues.
Currently, Ms. Jamillia Kamara is part of the Cohort of 2020 in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program in Duquesne University's School of Education. She also holds the position of Program Officer for The Pittsburgh Foundation where her work on grants, policy, and research advances education and equity. Her career as a teacher, consultant, and social entrepreneur includes a history of working to transform systems to better serve the needs of their communities.
