Online Master of Health Administration—New for Fall 2019

Healthcare represents one of the most dynamic and fast-growing industries in the United States. The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program at Duquesne University is designed to prepare ethical and skilled future health administrators who can passionately take the lead to address the ever-increasing challenges of access to needed care, quality and safety, affordability, and mitigating all types of risks in order to ensure healthy lives, promote well-being for all and improve sustainability of the country's health system.

The MHA is a 2-year, online program, particularly suitable for working healthcare professionals, mid-career practitioners, and recent college graduates. The MHA program curriculum and competency framework align with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) accreditation requirements and the Healthcare Leadership Alliance (HLC) Competency Model.

The 42-credit curriculum is comprised of foundation, core, capstone, and concentration area courses that fully develop students' leadership competencies to help them assume leadership roles in a variety of health care setting including hospitals and health systems, medical group practices, insurance companies, skilled nursing facilities, consulting firms, etc. The 3-day on-campus residency right before graduation offers students with an excellent opportunity to network with classmates, faculty members, prominent industry experts, and prospective employers.
