Most SLP classes are held within the Department in Fisher Hall. Our teaching laboratory is equipped with SMART podium, a classroom projector, Internet, telecommunications, DVD, an amplification system, and CRS.
CRS is the digital video system which is used in clinic. We believe in the importance of teaching clinical applications in our courses; as a consequence, CRS is a vital teaching tool in most classes. The system enables access to live and recorded evaluation and treatment sessions which demonstrate and reinforce the concepts, clinical strategies, therapy techniques, communication disorders, and other aspects of speech pathology and audiology discussed in Fisher 400.
Duquesne's SLP program is well-known for its teaching. The classroom is our learning laboratory with tools that make learning, and teaching, a very positive experience.
