Liz DeIuliis Publishes Book
Dr. Elizabeth DeIuliis, OTD, OTR/L, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, published her second book, "The Entry Level Doctorate Capstone: A Framework for the Experience and Project" with SLACK Inc. This is the FIRST book in the occupational therapy field devoted to the doctorate capstone experience and project. Duquesne OT Faculty Drs. Amy Mattila, Elena Donoso Brown, Meghan Blaskowitz and Anne Cook were among several contributing authors. Dr. DeIuliis's first book, "Professionalism Across Occupational Therapy Practice" was released in 2017 and was recently recognized as a Core Essential title for occupational therapy via Doody's Review Service.
The Dept of Occupational Therapy had the first accredited OTD program in Pittsburgh and the among one of the first in the State of Pennsylvania. Although the first entry-level OTD program began in 1999, there has never been a published book or resource to guide faculty, and students. This is the book devoted to the doctoral capstone.
