START-Play multi-site grant singled-out for special attention
Dr. Reggie Harbourne in the Department of Physical Therapy recently had a paper for the START-Play multi-site grant singled-out for special attention. The paper serves as a strong example of how to measure fidelity in early intervention for infants. In addition, our fidelity measure showed that the START-Play therapy program was delivered to families in the right way, and it was quite different from the usual early intervention received by the infants.
"Fidelity means faithfulness. Research to determine the best type of therapy needs to have strong fidelity, because we need to show that we actually deliver the therapy as planned, with all the right ingredients," she shared.
