Program Costs

Program Dates are May 24 - June 16, 2020

Application deadline is February 15, 2020

Estimated Total Costs:

A $500 nonrefundable deposit, which goes toward tuition, is due at the time of completing the application. The estimated program cost of $7,900 which includes tuition, airfare, lodging and many meals. Included are comprehensive course materials, welcoming and closing dinners, scheduled group transportation and admission costs to local attractions, and the cost of the Medex card (which provides for emergency evacuation anywhere in China).

Please note that incidentals are not included in the price.

NEW! Early Bird Deposit

By making an Early Bird Deposit of $250 when you submit your application (up through December 6th), you will be given seat priority in the program.  Our programs fill up fast, and often times we have to turn students away.  Reserve your spot early with half of the deposit ($250.00) up front, and pay the other half ($250.00) by February 15, 2020.

Cancellation Policy

We do not envision canceling the Summer Program unless the State Department determines that travel to the PRC is dangerous to the health or safety of foreign visitors. Should that occur, the students would be immediately notified by email. Full refunds will be made, and all students will be provided with the option of joining another summer program sponsored by the Law School.

Refund Policy

Duquesne University reserves the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment or other extraordinary emergency conditions. Only in that case will the $500 application deposit will be refunded.

NOTE: Students who withdraw from the program after the Feb.15, 2020 application deadline, even if before the start of the program, are liable for any corresponding costs already incurred by Duquesne, including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel and transportation costs, up to the amount of the initial deposit.
