Westmoreland Bar Foundation Scholarships
The Westmoreland Bar Foundation is pleased to offer three law school scholarships, which are available to Westmoreland County residents for the 2019-20 school year. Students can be first, second or third year students and must be enrolled for the Fall semester. The total amount of the scholarships to be awarded is in the amount of $6,600.

2019 ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship
The American Bar Association (ABA) awards an annual Legal Opportunity Scholarship to first-year law students. The mission of the program is to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to attend and completing law school. The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial aid over the course of their three years in law school. Since its inception, 350 students from across the country have received the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship.

Sallie Mae's Bridging the Dream Scholarship
Between January 10, 2019 and February 14, 2019, Sallie Mae® is accepting applications for a $20,000 Bridging the Dream Scholarship for Graduate Students. This includes college seniors, prospective graduate students and current graduate students who plan to enroll in at least half-time postgraduate study for the entire 2019-2020 academic year.

Christopher Simon Attorney at Law Scholarship

Designed to help aid an incoming 1L or currently enrolled law student with their financial cost.

ABC Law Centers Cerebral Palsy Scholarship
Designed to simultaneously increase awareness about cerabral palsy (CP) and celebrate the achievements of those with cerebral palsy. A scholarship for financial assistance in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who has cerebral palsy.

Christensen & Hymas Married Student Law Scholarship
Kenneth L. Christensen and D. Russell Hymas understand the struggles that come with balancing a quality family life and excelling in a challenging law program.  Each of them were married and started their respective families during their time in law school. Now, as partners at Christensen & Hymas Personal Injury Law, they want to help students who are undertaking the same life challenges. Ken and Russ understand that commitment to educational excellence tempered with strong values in the home will benefit the lives of your family as well as those you work with in the future. This is why they choose to offer a generous scholarship to a deserving individual who has surmounted obstacles in order to maintain strong family values and a dedicated work ethic in their pursuit of an education in the legal field. $1,000.00 will be awarded to one student for use towards their law school costs.

BARBRI Law Preview "One Lawyer Can Change the World" Scholarship
BARBRI Law Preview and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity recognize that getting a legal education can be an expensive journey. For this reason, we have partnered to offer one hard-working law student a $10,000 scholarship to help pay for the first year of law school. Your chance at the scholarship starts by completing this simple online application.

Plaxen & Adler Scholarship
The Plaxen and Adler Scholarship Awards $2500 annually to a law student who has demonstrated an interest in civil trial advocacy and a career as a civil trial lawyer, as well as the concept of a fair Civil Justice system, a just result for the injured, a desire to represent the injured and those whose rights are jeopardized. The scholarship is available to all students enrolled in law school as well as senior college students already accepted in an accredited law school, including those who are outstanding and promising scholars, have an interest in civil trial advocacy and possess a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

ChapmanAlbin Scholarship for Law Students
A check for $1,000 will be made to the scholarship recipients's law school of choice to cover tuition and other related expenses. Applicants may not be current or past employees of ChapmanAlbin or be directly related to a current employee.

Burrell Township Scholarship
The purpose of the Burrell Township Scholarship Fund is to help needy and deserving students who are residents of Burrell Township, Armstrong County, PA, and who display exceptional ability and aptitude to acquire a college, technical or professional education. The fund was established by Anna Cloyde Brooks in memory of her mother, Christina King Woodward, father, Oliver Woodward, and brother, Harry Woodward.

Armstrong County Bar Association Scholarship
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship for an Armstrong County resident who is enrolled to attend or already attending an accredited law school in the United States as approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors.

Zane McMillen Memorial Scholarship
The Zane McMillen Memorial Scholarship was established in 2015 in order to memorialize Zane’s life. This scholarship is for adult students who are previous graduates of Armstrong School District, who are accepted to or enrolled in post-secondary education (an accredited college, university, or other post-secondary institution), and who are pursuing a career in any field involved with public service. The scholarship shall be awarded annually (amount will vary), and is non-renewable.

The Gainesberg Law Annual Scholarship Award
We want to help those young lawyers pursue their dreams and protect the justice system. That is why we are proud to announce the Gainsberg Law Annual Scholarship Award. Every year, we will select a student who is, or will be, enrolled in an accredited university or college in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year. The winner will be announced in June 2020. Upon the student’s request, the non-transferrable award can be paid directly to the school.

DC Law Scholarship (formally Christensen Law)
The Christensen Law Firm Scholarship is a recurring scholarship worth $2000 designed to help one incoming 1L or continuing law student with their tuition costs. We welcome all eligible students to apply and look forward to reviewing your application.
