Duquesne University School of Law is proud of our graduates' success in obtaining employment after graduation. We are pleased to report that out of the 157 members of the Class of 2021, 93.6% (147/157) of the graduates were employed as of March 15, 2022.

We are equally pleased to report that of those employed, 89.2% (140/157 graduates) are working in industries where they are licensed to practice law or where the J.D. is an advantage to their work.  Further breaking that down, 87.3% (137/157) had full-time and long-term jobs that were classified as either Bar Passage Required or JD Advantage. (according to the ABA category definitions).

Members of the Class of 2021 were employed in the following states as of March 15, 2022: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia.

Methodology
Employment data for the Class of 2021, which as defined by the American Bar Association includes all JD graduates from September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021, was obtained by the Career Services Office using formal tools (including the NALP Graduate Employment Report and Salary Survey) and informal tools (including contact with graduates by members of the staff of the Career Services Office and other independent research). Employment data reflects the status of each graduate as of March 15, 2022, as reported to the American Bar Association.
