This clinic focuses on assisting low-income clients with Wills, Living Wills, Advance Directives, Memoranda regarding Conduct of Funeral and Burial or Cremation and Durable Power of Attorney matters. Students receive valuable hands-on training in:

Wills and Health Care Decisions Clinic partners with Allegheny County Bar Foundation for CLE & Pro Bono Event

Duquesne University School of Law's Pro Bono Program collaborated with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation for National Pro Bono Week. Over sixty attorneys attended a CLE on Oct. 18 organized by Grace Orsatti and Barbara Griffin. Attorneys received training on how to assist low-income clients with wills and advance health care directives. Attendees also enjoyed a lively medical-legal overview of end-of-life health care decision making from experts in the medical and legal fields. Pro Bono student manager Mariah shared her personal experiences about pro bono work while in law school. Volunteer attorneys, assisted by students, drafted wills and advanced directives for low-income clients in Hazelwood on Oct. 19.
