A Day in the Life of a Judicial Law Clerk

  • 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
  • Room 208

Students interested in learning more about federal and state judicial clerkships are invited to attend this event.  You'll hear from recent graduates who serve/served as judicial law clerks in the trial and appellate courts of the federal and state judiciaries. Some of the questions we'll cover include: How did they obtain their jobs?  What are the critical skills they use in performing their work?  What are the biggest surprises (or learning curves) they've encountered as judicial law clerks?  How is a clerkship preparing them for their next career endeavor?

The following alumni have been invited to talk with students:
Anthony Gestrich (L'18), Chambers of Hon. Peter Phipps, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit
Ashlyn Grim (L'19), Chambers of Hon. Judith Olson, Superior Court of Pennsylvania
Phil Raymond (L'18), Chambers of Hon. Mark Stevens, Court of Common Pleas of Crawford County (former)
AJ Vogt (L'19), Chambers of Hon. Christine Donohue, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

Lunch provided. Please RSVP on DuqLawConnect (under the "Events" tab).
