At this lunch & learn program, hear about the Local Government Case Competition and opportunities for paid internships available through DHS.

The Case Competition is held in November and brings together graduates students in the areas of public policy, law, social work, psychology, public health, business, design, sustainability, and other areas. Students work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop a presentation about a particular topic.

DHS is a broad umbrella organization responsible for publicly funded human services in Allegheny County, including mental health services, at-risk child development and education, services for older adults, and much more. Formed in 1997, the department is recognized as a national model in the provision of human services.
