photo of scales, gavel, booksOn March 13 and 20, our Trial Advocacy Program will host the Duquesne University School of Law Intraschool Mock Trial Competition.

"Many national mock trial competitions were forced to cancel this year due to the pandemic," said Pete Giglione, L'02, Coordinator of the Trial Advocacy Program. "Years ago, Duquesne hosted an intraschool competition, but it was phased out after we received increasing numbers of invitations to compete nationally. This is the perfect time to bring it back, as it will allow our 2Ls to keep their courtroom skills sharp, and our alumni, prospective students, faculty and staff can watch the rounds virtually."

Four teams of 2L students will compete for the top spot of Duquesne School of Law Mock Trial Champion. Preliminary rounds will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on March 13, and at 10 a.m. on March 20. The final round, placing the top two teams against each other, will take place on March 20 at 1 p.m.

Alumni judges are needed for each round! Email trialadmin@duq.edu for more information.
