LCLD Success in Law School 1L/1E Mentoring Program Information Session
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Co-sponsored by the Career Services and Diversity Offices
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) offers a 1L Success in Law School Mentoring Program each year that is open to first-year day and first-year evening students who are from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds.
Rebecca Kennedy and Max Gelernter, both of whom are Associates at K&L Gates, will talk with students about the program.
LCLD matches students with attorneys in the Pittsburgh area and offers educational programming during the year. Mentors usually talk with students about their experiences during law school, their practice areas, and the legal job market. Students may register at https://www.lcldnet.org/programs/law-school-mentoring/mentees/. Mentors are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. (Note: Mentor program registration opens on Sept. 15.)
Please contact Nicola Henry-Taylor, Director of Diversity, or Maria Comas, Director of Career Services, (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, respectively) if you have any questions about this program or if you are eligible to attend the info session.
Please RSVP via DuqLawConnect (under "Events") if you plan to attend the information session. This program will be recorded for anyone who can't attend it, and the recording will be available on the Career Services (Law) Blackboard site afterwards.
The Zoom link is distributed to law students via email and on DuqLawConnect.
