Nicola Henry Taylor, class of 1996Representation of Immigrant Clients
and Access to the Courts

The immigrant experience is unique and can often present challenges. Many immigrants present with issues of assimilation, language barriers, cultural differences and discrimination. Many have faced trauma, violence and poverty in their home countries before arriving in the US. Sadly, some of these immigrants are children who are unaccompanied when they come to the US.

Nicola Henry-Taylor L'96 will lead us in a discussion regarding the intersection of immigration and the court system (family and criminal). In addition to her busy practice, Henry-Taylor is Director of Diversity at Duquesne University School of Law and member of the Duquesne Law Alumni Association Board of Governors.
