Alumna and Adj. Prof. awarded Pittsburgh's Business Times' "30 under 30" honor
School of Law alumna Tami Mack, L'16 and Adjunct Professor Susan Barrett are two of 30 local professionals selected as Pittsburgh Business Times' 2019 30 Under 30 awardees.
Pittsburgh Business Times (PBT) selected 30 individuals from among hundreds of nominations received this year. According to PBT, awardees are people who exemplify the creativity, passion and perseverance that have come to characterize western Pennsylvania's new economy.
About Tami Mack
Mack, 28, is an attorney who works with clients through transactions in the emerging growth and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and finance practice areas. Committed to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, in college she served as the vice president of the law school's Black Law Students Association. At K&L Gates, she serves as an active member of the firm's diversity committee, as well as the firm's women in the profession committee. She has been instrumental in helping the firm select the fellows in the University of Pittsburgh School of Law/K&L Gates Diversity Fellowship Program.
About Susan Barrett
Barrett, 28, is an attorney at McGuireWoods LLP representing companies, private equity funds and institutional investors across industries in transactional and general corporate matters. In addition to her client work, she teaches a course on mergers and acquisitions that she created and successfully pitched to the University last fall. Barrett is also an executive committee member and continuing legal education co-chair for the Women's Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania.
This year's honorees were celebrated last night at the Ace Hotel.
