Appellate Moot Court Board team advances to national competition
Duquesne Law hosted the American Bar Association Law Student Division Regional Arbitration Competition on November 17-18, and fielded two teams.
Second-year students (from left) Aaron McDonough, Brazitte Poole, Lydia Wardi, and Ashlyn Grim placed third in the region and advanced to the national finals. The group will be one of only 10 teams from across the country to compete.
The second Duquesne Law team, consisting of Patrick Young, Grant Olson, Kate McCarthy, and Jacob Mellor had a great showing at the ABA competition as well.
Alums Devon Ferris, L'16, Ryan Wilk, L'13, and Jeff Childs, L'17, coached the teams. Adjunct Professor Erin Karsman directs the appellate advocacy program.
