National All Stars Team makes it to semi-finals
The team of Duquesne University School of Law students Malcolm Hines, Alex Stephenson, Sarah Thomas, and Liz Wortman competed in the National All Stars Mock Trial Invitational during the weekend of November 5. The team made it to the prestigious semi-final round of the event, narrowly losing in that round to Ohio State University.
Only 20 law schools across the country were invited to compete at this invitational. Before making it to the semi-final round, Duquesne defeated the following colleges/ universities: Kansas, Colorado, Southern Methodist, and San Francisco.
Also at the event, Hines was awarded one of eight Outstanding Advocate awards for the entire competition in a field that included eighty advocates.
The team was coached by Chelsea Disney, Rob Disney, and Matthew Newman. Congratulations, Dukes!
