Prof. McPeak to sit on panel for Idaho Law Review: 2019 Symposium
Professor Agnieszka McPeak will represent Duquesne University School of Law as a panelist at the Idaho Law Review: 2019 Symposium on April 5.
The #TwitterLaw Symposium, which explores the delicacies of being a lawyer on social media, is being held at the University of Idaho College of Law. The symposium will argue whether professionals need a code of conduct to express their opinions on the internet, if the public is savvy enough to distinguish the varying roles that lawyers play on social media, and to what degree can pundits and lawyers be distinguished.
Professor McPeak’s topic focuses specifically on “Debates & Controversy Over Social Media: Getting in Trouble.”
Other topics being presented include:
- Lawyers and Social Media: Standards for Tweeting the Law & Opinion
- From Professor/Practitioner to Pundit: Risks to Legal Disclosure from Social Media Legal Debate
- Lawyers & Social Media: The View from the Bench
- Informing the Public: Twitter Law
