Prof. Rago presents at Dept. of Justice 'Right to Counsel' conference
Prof. John Rago presented at the U.S. Department of Justice/Office of Justice Programs' third annual Right to Counsel conference in Washington, D.C., in early November. His presentation was part of a panel on indigent defense issues throughout the country.
Rago was a key member of Pennsylvania's 2011 Joint State Government Commission, which issued a comprehensive report about the criminal defense challenges faced by residents of the commonwealth. The Department of Justice's Right to Counsel National Consortium requested that Rago discuss the report as well as holistic defense models he is studying and working to bring to Pennsylvania communities.
