SBA and Animal Law Society host Westbrook Race in Sept.
Duquesne Law's Student Bar Association (SBA) and Animal Law Society will host the 16th Katie Westbrook 5K & Dog Walk on Sat., Sept. 23, 2017. The event is open to law school alumni and friends and the general public.
Each year, the race is held in memory of Katie Westbrook, whose dream was to become a Duquesne lawyer before being diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. All proceeds benefit the SBA's Centennial Endowed Fund, which provides scholarships to law students and to help them realize their dreams of becoming legal professionals.
During the event, the Animal Law Society will host a raffle for Animal Friends and coordinate donations of food items in support of Duquesne's Animal Friends Chow Wagon Drive.
