Criminal defense law firm is seeking a full-time paralegal. The position will provide overall support to multiple attorneys. The successful candidate will be tasked with conducting basic legal research and drafting court filings. Prior experience with Westlaw, Lexis or another legal search engine, and electronic filing systems such as PACER or PACfile highly preferred. Responsibilities will further include drafting and reviewing correspondence, expungements, pretrial and trial preparation, and calendar management. A demonstrated ability to work and learn independently while maintaining a high volume of assignments on strict deadlines will be critical. A desire to learn about/experience in criminal law a plus. Criminal defense firm is seeking to hire an office manager/paralegal. Potential candidates for this position should have strong writing and communication skills and possess a desire to learn within a very fast-paced environment. Prior experience in criminal law is preferred, although not required. Seeking a paralegal to work within the Adoption Legal Unit of the Division of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) and be responsible for paralegal functions and support duties as well as extensive client and staff contact. Additional responsibilities include: aiding in promoting and supporting adoption procedures, drafting, reviewing and proofreading motions and petitions, organizing case files, and assisting with the coordination of monthly adoption hearings. A downtown Pittsurgh firm is currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: deposition and trial preparation, preparing general motions, subpeonas, pleadings and other documents, management of active cases/matters and monitoring of progress, and electronic filing. Candidates should have 2-3 years experience as a paralegal supporting attorneys in complex litigation areas such as products liability, class actions, commercial litigation, multi-district litigation and personal injury. Paralegal certificate preferred.
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a Paralegal to provide case management, legal research, case-cite verification, blue book citations and general paralegal support. You will support legal issues relating to foreign intelligence, counterintelligence activities, and both civil and criminal litigation. Paralegal Certificate or degree from an ABA-approved school, GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale, broad range of experience working as a paralegal and strong written and communication skills required.
