Fiffik Law Group
Seeking a full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant who has experience in the following areas: business transactions, civil litigation and estate planning. Duties include compiling, proofreading and drafting legal documents, obtaining due diligence materials, organizing and tracking files, corresponding with with counsel, court and clients, complete administrative duties and more. Ideal candidate must be a proficient typist with experience in various software applications including Microsoft Suite. Civil litigaton and estate planing experience required. Paralegal certificate with 3-5 experience preferred. The position starts immediately and offers a competitive compensation package.
Davis and Davis Law
Position available for an assistant to help with residential and commercial real estate closings. Duties include getting the title order from the lender, opening a file, sending the file to the appropriate title searcher, getting the lien letters and taxes, reviewing the title searches and bringing any questions to the attorney's attention, preparing title insurance commitments, preparing the closing disclosure forms for the attorney to review and finalize, keeping the file organized for closing, sitting in the closings with the attorney, making the necessary copies and notarizing documents (will pay to have the person become a notary if they are not one already), recording the documents, preparing the final title policies. Hours are M-F, 8 to 5. Health, dental and vision insurance, 401K and paid time off. Salary is commensurate depending on experience. It's a busy position as firm handles over 250 closings a year. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work on several files at one time and work under time limits.

We are seeking an entry level or experienced paralegal to support our attorneys. A foundation in estate planning and administration processes is preferred with a working knowledge of how to file probate documents, prepare and file deeds, and assist clients with completion of trust and estate documents. Prior experience in the preparation of estate/inheritance tax, income tax, gift tax and administration of estates and trusts, business planning formation, business and real estate transaction and/or fiduciary litigation matters are a plus. Candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, outgoing, organized, efficient, and detail oriented with the ability to manage, prioritize and follow projects through to completion. Ability to multi-task under time constraints with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Working knowledge of Lackner 6-in-1, Thomson Reuters - One Source, CCH ProSystems, a plus but not required.
